We strive for creative excellence and a competitive edge in all of our projects.Chris Adams, Chris Adams is a self-taught, child prodigy who honed his technology skills by watching his father work on cars. As an auto mechanic and engineer, my dad was meticulous in his search for the right tool and approach to fix or build most anything. Cars represented his landscape for genius, but his contribution to Chris development technically and mechanically spanned well beyond the garage. According to Chris, if you know how something works you can dissect it and practically apply what you need from it to anything.Chris Adams learned early on to appreciate the component parts that make up what we define as contemporary genius: One part Inspiration, one part Aspiration and the rest Determination. These character traits continue to position Chris Adams as a cutting edge leader in the field of film and multi-media. Some of his personal favorites include Ansel Adams, Mamoru Oshii, Massamune Shirow, Spike Lee, Mark Romanek, H.R. Giger, Zdzislaw Beksinski , Ridley Scott and Hype Williams.Chris pushes his art far beyond the markets that nurtured his talents, believing that art and music are the only universal truths left in modern society and can therefore reach far beyond their intended audiences. Chris list of clients reads like the Chicago Music Hall of Fame as he has worked with the likes of Twista, R. Kelly, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco and many more of Chicagos elite and nationally acclaimed artist.Chris is quick to point out that When people come to Impakt Studio they are bringing us their hopes and dreams. As such, I treat these dreams as if my own and I want to see them realized as much as they do.Hana McDowellImages fly across the screen as small thumbnails, representing slices of time. Once prerecorded and digitized, they are cataloged, sequenced and re-sequenced to tell stories and convey emotion and stimulate responses.Hana McDowell also known as Blaq is the dynamic co-founder of Impakt Studio. She leads the organization as the Image Navigator for Impakt Studio. In her role, Hana arranges images in a manner that creates a linear story, traditional in tone but most effective in evoking response and commitment from vast audiences. Never satisfied, she rearranges collections of information into a synchronistic dance telling a story through fragmented glimpses of disconnected data. She somehow makes sense of it all and challenges the viewer to fill in the gaps with their own imagination. On occasion she just simply presents the subject in such clear focus that it leaves nothing to the imagination.Hana does her work with unprecedented grace and precision. She knows her tools like a hunter their weapons. She is the very definition of an editor. The importance of her job is often overshadowed by the subject, but due to her precise skills the subject shines bright and continues to encourage clients to come back for more.Perhaps her most important responsibility as Image Navigator is to bring the company name to life. As chief editor her most important role is to create IMPAKT in the form of the finished product and display our philosophy of RE-ENGINEERING, RE- IMAGINING AND RE-INVIGORATING. IMPAKT STUDIO is proud to present the extraordinary commercial photography of Patrick Adams.As a photographer, I am particularly interested in bonding with my clients. My goal is to push them beyond limits and heights of photographic excellence that they have never previously experienced. I have walked in their shoes. I modeled for over 10 years representing agencies such as Elite Model Management. My personal credits as a model include the very prestigious T.V show Law and Order, as well as several feature films and national print ads. These experiences have shaped my approach and my ability to getting my clients the PERFECT PICTURE in the least amount of time and thru the best personal experience. Patrick or PA as some call him demonstrates pride and dedication in his skill behind the lens. He is just as poised and confident in the darkroom as well, where his talent for retouching is unprecedented and his ability to develop photo campaigns and creative graphics is unmatched. It was his most recent assignment as an Afghanistan War photo journalist for OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM that elevated his acclaim to globally appealing audiences. Mr. Dorsey, commissioned by the US Marines was asked to create a photo narrative of the conflict in Afghanistan. NEWS JULY 9, 2010 Impakt Studio has been working hard on some ground breaking new projects for some world renown artist. Our latest video for New Jersey's Grammy Nominated Eric Roberson Directed by Chris & Blaq (Christopher Adams and Hana "Blaq" McDowell) has sent shockwaves through the industry. i have a question, When is the last time you have been affected emotionally by a music video? The vision we have created for his song "STILL" has accomplished something rarely seen in the art form of music videos an emotional response and to educate the masses about a serious issue. But we will let you judge for yourself. Impakt Studio's previous music video for Eric Roberson's song "Dealing" featuring Grammy Nominated Singer Lalah Hathaway has garned more than 200,000 views on the internet and has been in VH1 SOUL'S Top Ten for over 5 months.
